Disney World is pulling one of its recent additions to merchandising from sale. The mug is part of Starbucks new collection. As you can see below, the Epcot mug is purple coloured, and includes a monorail with purple stripe. The purple monorail is no longer in operation after a fatal crash back in 2009, which killed Austin Wuennenberg - the driver of the purple monorail at the time. Disney has today confirmed that this mug will no longer be on sale in stores. Photo below from Starbucks via My News 13...

The power loss occurred at around 6pm on 13th July. Following the power outage, all other monorails operating on the Epcot beam were able to restart, but unfortunately Monorail Gold was unable to restart, and therefore was stranded on the beam. The usual rescue trains could not be used due to the location of the break down, right near the switch track for the Epcot beam.
Temperatures were rising in the monorail (no AC!), and so the decision was made to evacuate passengers. Reedy Creek services were called, and began the evacuation of Monorail Gold at around 7pm, and all were evacuated by around 8pm. There were no reported injuries from this event... Disney will be operating extended hours on all monorail lines during July 4th..
